ISFOE is dedicated to the continued growth and improvement of our industry and we will strive to achieve this externally with standards and processes in place for accreditation, plus internally through continued education for our members.
Accreditation is one of the most effective ways for organizations to regularly and consistently examine and improve the quality of their services. The standards provide a tool for organizations to embed accreditation and quality improvement activities into their daily operations with the primary focus being on including the client as true partners in service delivery.
Any spa/wellness or medical practice looking to provide services for people living with cancer, and other health challenges have an opportunity to become an accredited facility. This is an ongoing process of assessing your organization against standards to identify what you do well, where you can make improvements, and how to make them happen.
Becoming accredited demonstrates your commitment to:
- Improving quality and safety
- Reducing risk
- Increasing efficiency and decreasing costs
- Implementing best practices
ISFOE endorses approved training providers that include in their curriculums, standards and processes that need to be in place for optimal care of the person living with cancer.
